A former so-called massage parlor shut down by Framingham city officials as part of an investigation into human trafficking. Police say it was a site for prostitution. It operated directly across the road from Framingham city hall and police headquarters.

More than 11 percent of sex for money transactions take place in phony massage parlors. There are nearly 200 known illicit spas in Massachusetts. This demand for "happy endings" is also fueling trafficking and violence against women who work in this industry.
