Week in Review — 10.26.12

October 26, 2012

New England is digging in as Hurricane Sandy — aka the Frankenstorm — inches its way up the East Coast. It's scheduled to hit on or near Halloween. Gov. Deval Patrick wants utility companies to have plans on his desk by Friday in case it's a big one.

Talk of storms hasn't slowed down any political campaigns. Elizabeth Warren and Sen. Scott Brown are still slugging it out with Warren seeing a slight advantage in the latest poll. They meet one final time Tuesday.

Rep. John Tierney and challenger Richard Tisei squared off yesterday in a pre-taped debate. They sounded the same refrains over taxes, illegal gambling and the Tea Party. It's fair to say that nothing will be resolved in the sixth Massachusetts district until the final bell on Election Day.
