Unrest In Ferguson: Local Reactions To Racial Tensions

Community leaders in Boston have reacted to the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, where last week an 18-year-old black man was shot and killed by a white police officer.


Virginia Ward is a Youth Pastor in Cambridge who has been counseling young African American men about how they should respond to the events in Ferguson.

State Rep. Evandro Carvalho, who represents Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood, weighed in on what can be done to change the way young African American men are perceived by law enforcement.
