Superstorm Sandy: Assessing The Damage In Mass. One Year Later

For a region grown complacent about the risks of Hurricanes, Sandy was a devastating jolt that left behind dozens of fatalities, billions in damage, and tough questions that we are no closer to addressing one year later.

While Massachusetts was spared the worst, individual communities like Plum Island suffered extensive damage.

WGBH News science editor Heather Goldstone and Kevin O'Connor, the host of This Old House, which covered the rebuilding of the Jersey Shore, joined Greater Boston.
