'Sontag: Reborn' Offers New Take On Writer's Life

May 13, 2014

Susan Sontag was one of the great public minds of the 20th century, and she knew it.  The famed intellectual, writer and activist, who died 10 years ago, is brought back to life in "Sontag: Reborn," a new show at ArtsEmerson that uses her early journals as its base. It displays the Sontag brilliance that we knew and a frailty that we didn't.

  • Elsa Dorfman is herself a well-known artist and portrait photographer who knew Sontag.
