As you have likely already heard, the Academy Oscar nominations were announced this morning....and in some ways, I think the story here is THE MERE FACT that you have likely already heard. What started as a private brunch in 1929 grew into Hollywood’s biggest night and in recent years seems to have become it own entire season, nestled snugly between winter and spring.
