Middlesex DA Marian Ryan Talks Domestic Violence And Contested Primary

August 25, 2014

Marian Ryan didn’t campaign be Middlesex Country District Attorney. Governor Deval Patrick appointed her to that post in April of last year, after Gerry Leone stepped down. Now Ryan, a career prosecutor, is in campaign mode for the first time, seeking a full term in a contested primary.

She is running on the heels the high-profile Jared Remy murder case which ended with a guilty plea and an independent review of her office. Ryan released the findings of that review back in May, but last week we learned that she held back 19 pages.
