This Wednesday marks the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, where Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his famous "I Have A Dream" speech. The Rev. Eugene F. Rivers III and the Rev. Irene Monroe joined Jim Braude and Kara Miller — filling in for Margery Eagan — to ask if the gay rights movement has undergone its own transformational moment.
Also on BPR:
- Democratic strategist Michael Goldman and former Massachusetts State Treasurer Joe Malone talked politics.
- Do you like the idea of an open workspace in the office? Or do you favor the traditional offices and high-walled cubicles? Jim and Kara asked callers what makes for a better work environment.
- Garen Daly talked about New England's dwindling number of drive-in movie theaters.
