Expert Excuses For A Day-Long, Workplace Jailbreak

October 28, 2013

Have you dodged work by taking a sick day when you weren't, exactly ... um ... sick? Jim Braude and Margery Eagan discussed workplace subterfuge — those "mental health" days we take from time to time — and the best and worst excuses we've used.

  • Tom Keane and John Nucci talked about the Boston mayor's race, the failure of Healthcare.gov, and the 2014 Mass. governor's race.
  • Boston Globe writer Dan Shaughnessy recapped a triumphant World Series Game 4. Then, Jim and Margery talked about the psychological advantage teams get from facial grooming solidarity. (Bonus: check out Koji Uehara's game-winning pickoff move Sunday night.) The Boston Globe's Christopher Klein joined them for that.
  • Garen Daly joined Jim and Margery to talk about the Boston International Kids Film Festival, as well as his upcoming staging of "War Of The Worlds."
