Corruption Trial: High-Profile Names On John O'Brien Case Witness List

It was a classic blockbuster from The Boston Globe Spotlight Team: Probation Commissioner John O’Brien had engaged in patronage hiring on a scale that appeared to cross into corruption. Those 2010 allegations have now finally reached the courtroom, where O’Brien is now on trial on federal corruption charges. So far, the picture that’s emerging of how state government works is anything but flattering.
